Whiskey Pete's Hotel and Casino opened in 1977. It has an 1800s mining town theme with 777 rooms and two castle towers. Whiskey Pete's offers deluxe rooms, mini suites, and Jacuzzi suites. All rooms have such amenities as blow dryers, ironing boards, available high speed and wireless Internet, and available in-room movies. Basic rooms typically cost about on weekdays and on weekends, depending on the season. The hotel is rated at two stars. The hotel is typically the most affordable of the three large hotels in Primm.

The hotel's deluxe rooms are about 310 square feet and can be requested either with a king bed or two queen beds. Mini suites have two personal oval bathtubs with space jets and over 600 square feet of space. Jacuzzi suites have oversized bathrooms and are 725 square feet. The property also has more than 36,000 square feet of casino space featuring slots, keno, table games, and a race and sports book. There are also several dining options, including the Silver Spur Steakhouse, a showroom with headline entertainment, and a large outdoor swimming pool with a water slide.

The name Whiskey Pete originates from the Primm area's original western owner, Pete MacIntyre. During the 1920's, in addition to his convenience store, Pete MacIntyre also had a bootlegging operation. Thus, he became known as "Whiskey Pete" and is a popular figure in Primm history. The hotel is a great choice for families on a budget.
